ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR

The successful candidate will ensure adherence to the approved Environmental Management Programmes and Environmental authorisations, Water Use Licenses, and other applicable South African environmental legislation. This role requires strong on-site presence, contractor engagement, and proactive monitoring to ensure environmental performance and regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities: Monitor mining and contractor compliance with approved Environmental Management Programmes, Environmental Authorizations and Water Use License conditions. Conduct and document regular internal environmental inspections, audits, and compliance reviews, to identify potential risks and areas for improvement. Maintain environmental incident logs, complaints registers, and aspect registers. Coordinate environmental matters between internal project teams, contractors, regulatory authorities, and stakeholders.
