Key Responsibilities Observe, assess and monitor patients, reporting changes in their physical or mental wellbeing to the multidisciplinary team. Provide compassionate nursing care within your scope of practice. Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment for patients. Participate in patient handovers and interdisciplinary ward rounds, ensuring effective communication of patient care and critical information. Support and educate patients regarding prescribed medication and treatment plans. Encourage participation in therapeutic programmes and daily activities. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Adhere to the Mental Health Care Act (No. 17 of 2002) and all relevant nursing standards and protocols.
