Purpose

The English Teacher plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality English instruction to students in Years 10 and 11, in preparation for the Cambridge IGCSE English as a First or Second Language examinations. This role demands a deep understanding of adolescent literacy development, effective assessment strategies, and engaging, student-centered pedagogy. The teacher will integrate IMAS’s Islamic values and bilingual approach while fostering a love for literature, academic writing, and critical thinking in learners. As part of the Secondary team, the teacher contributes to the academic rigor, personal growth, and global readiness of IMAS graduates.
