Engineering Underwriter (Insurance)

Our client in the Insurance Industry is looking to hire an Engineering Underwriter.

Key Tasks & Accountabilities

Profit and Growth

· Ensure that the Company is not over committed on individual risks

· Review monthly targets monthly

· Ensure that the Company reinsurance standards are always adhered to

· Report to the market facing underwriter on large variances and large claims

Effective Management of Engineering Portfolio

· Timeously assist with the resolution of problems

· Review figures of various portfolios

· Collaboration with company commercial business streams

Technical Support

· Assist with technical support and negotiations of small or uncomplicated accounts

· Analyse client information to determine marketing needs

· Provide input to Brokers regarding claims to ensure timeous resolution
