Engineering Geologist (Level 5) – Transport & Water | Auckland Help shape the ground understanding behind major Auckland and New Zealand infrastructure projects. In this role, you’ll turn field investigations, geological interpretation and practical ground advice into decisions that support transport, water and urban development projects from early investigation through to delivery.

What the role feels like

This is a hands-on consulting role for an engineering geologist who enjoys being close to the work, interpreting complex ground conditions, and seeing how that advice shapes real infrastructure outcomes. You’ll be working across varied Auckland ground environments, supporting investigations, developing geological models, contributing to geotechnical assessments and helping project teams understand and manage ground risk.
