Responsibilities Operate one or more pieces of heavy engineering equipment during the performance of basic operations associated with the reconstruction and maintenance of gravel and/or surfaced highways and BLM access roads. Equipment consists of tractors with attachments, dozer tractors, front-end loaders, backhoes, excavators, rollers, brooms, brush cutters, dump trucks with trailers, semi-truck with low-boy trailer. Work performed includes clearing brush, tree stumps, rocks, and other material; moving sand, gravel, snow, and ice; transferring material into dump trucks; and maneuvering equipment in confined areas.
