Elementary Teacher Aide (Lunch/Recess Support) - PT

Continuous recruitment for part-time positions for general cafeteria and recess support. (Grades K-5).

10 months per year. Follows the student calendar

Eligible for membership in the NYS Local Retirement System.

In this job as a Paraprofessional, you may be required to complete the following tasks:


+ Be outdoors for up to an hour year around in potentially inclement weather

+ Be on your feet and supervising consistently for up to an hour

+ Be able to run and keep up with a child

+ With training, operate a copier and complete classroom cutting and clerical tasks

+ Speak and communicate clearly with children


Job Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus

EITHER:

(A) One (1) year of full-time or its part-time equivalent paid or volunteer equivalent experience working in a clerical capacity;
