Electronics Technician

Summary This position is located in the Electronics Shop of the Facilities Maintenance Service (FMS) at the VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. The purpose of the Electronics Technician is to provide basic to complex analysis, maintenance, support and repair of electronic low voltage systems throughout the Medical Center (ie: fire alarms, security systems, badge readers, overhead paging systems, pneumatic tube systems (p tube systems), surveillance cameras, etc.). Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to: Preventative System Maintenance & Repair Inspects and evaluates new electronic low voltage systems upon receipt to determine that all government regulations, manufacturer specifications, and contract requirements are met; Evaluates, identifies and provides corrective action and recommendations for equipment system malfunctions of complex microprocessor-based systems that utilize state of the art technology and have vitally interrelated and sometimes dispersed subsystems...
