Electronics Technician

Summary This position is located within the Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) Service at the Atlanta VA Medical Center. The incumbent supports the management, maintenance, and lifecycle support of medical and electronic equipment essential to patient care. The Electronics Technician assists with equipment installation, troubleshooting, calibration, repair, and system support while gaining the technical skills and competencies required for independent performance. Responsibilities Major duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Provides technical data to procurement personnel in their negotiation of service contracts. Initiates actions to have changes and modifications to contracts based upon new or revised workload program requirements. Reviews trade publications and other electronic equipment literature to stay informed of changing technology.
