Responsibilities If selected at the GS-07/09 or 11 levels, duties will be performed in a developmental capacity Serves as professional engineer, technical authority in making engineering decisions for the proper selection, test/evaluation, and QC of basic to complex electronic devices, assemblies and sub-assemblies for assigned Functional Supply Class Determines failure criteria, detailed procedures, and resources necessary to conduct the requested test methods on basic to very complex electronic devices utilizing provided test documentation. Determines personnel, instrumentation and facilities required and makes engineering compromises to secure valid test results economically and efficiently. Devises complex test equipment setups comprised of Automated Test Equipment (ATE), 'stand-alone' test instruments, or computer controlled and associated peripheral equipment.
