A well-established UK electronics design and manufacturing business is hiring a Senior Electronics Engineer to take technical ownership of hardware design within its R&D team. They develop advanced sensing and instrumentation products for professional and specialist markets, with design and manufacture kept entirely in-house.
What the role involves
This is a lead-from-the-bench role rather than a management one. You'd own electronic design across products from early concept to production release - analogue, digital, power, video, mixed-signal and embedded - producing schematics, calculations, layout guidance and BOMs, then reviewing and signing off designs against technical, cost, reliability and manufacturability requirements.
Alongside your own design work you'd lead prototype bring-up, board-level debug, integration and verification, feed into architecture decisions on new products, and act as a technical sounding board for less experienced engineers. There's...
