Electro-Optic Test Automation Engineer Intern (September 2026, 12 months)

The Opportunity

8‑month work term: September2026–April ‑month work term (preferred): September2026–August2027.

How You Will Contribute

• Develop and maintain MATLAB‑based software for the automated factory calibration and test of coherent optical modems.
• Interface with a wide range of optical test and measurement equipment.
• Work closely with hardware and manufacturing engineers to define test procedures, gather requirements, and validate your code.
• Analyze test data to verify performance and support the deployment of your software into Ciena’s manufacturing facilities.

Must Haves

• Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
