Position overview
We have two permanent, full time Electrician positions available in the Facilities Maintenance Department of Vancouver Airport Authority. This role is part of a cross‑functional team and involves all aspects of preventative and corrective maintenance on the Authority’s buildings and assets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Repairing and maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment within the Airport Authority, including:
- Generator sets
- Lighting systems
- Passenger loading bridges
- Switchgear and transformers
- UPSs
- Automatic Microcomputer and PLC control systems
- Airfield lighting
- Multiple HMI systems (Fire Alarm, General Alarm, etc.)
- Frequency drives, soft starters
- Electrical infrastructure from 69 kV to 120 V
- HVAC controls
- Ground‑fault protection system
