Electrician

Summary The employee serves as the Electrician throughout the Sioux Falls VA Health Care System (SFVAHCS). The primary purpose is to install, modify, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems, controls, circuits, and equipment throughout the medical center in support of patient care and facility operations. Responsibilities Major duties include but are not limited to: Install, modify, maintain, and repair electrical systems including power and lighting circuits, alarm and control systems, panel boards, motors, transformers, switches, distribution panels, and related devices to ensure continuous and safe operations for the health care facility. Plan and lay out work from wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and specifications. Calculate conduit, wire, and load requirements.
