ASSIST THE NEUROLOGIST FOR EEG AND EMG PROCEDURES

• Acquire appropriate physician order requisitions.
• Perform strong EEG procedures.
• 10-20 electrode placement.
• Brain death recording.
• Sleep deprived EEG.
• Sleep EEG.
• Electromyography.
• Demonstrate knowledge of equipment utilization and patient instruction, and accurate lead placement.
• Prepare patient for testing by attaching monitoring devices and explaining test procedures.
• Set up and calibrate necessary equipment.
• Review patient records and interview patients to obtain additional information.
• Record observations and analyze test data to ensure appropriate data is collected.
• Maintain lab equipment, ensure room cleanliness, and institute quality control procedures.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform minor repairs.
