Drilling Rig Mechanic

Responsibilities

Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all rig equipment including engines, pumps and drawworks to ensure operational readiness and minimize downtime.

Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical failures utilizing diagnostic tools and technical manuals to identify root causes and implement effective repairs.

Conduct regular inspections of drilling machinery, identifying potential issues and proactively addressing them before they escalate into critical failures.

Execute repairs and replacements of worn or damaged mechanical components ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.

Qualifications

Possess a High School Diploma or GED; vocational training in diesel mechanics or a related field is highly advantageous.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic, with at least 2 years specifically on drilling rigs or heavy industrial equipment.
