We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated candidate to join our team as an Assistant Research Officer for a two-year project focusing on plant biotechnology and sustainable forestry research.

The successful candidate will produce trees through tissue culture, raise microbial cultures, and investigate secondary metabolite production resulting from plant-microbe interactions. The project involves collaborative forestry research with international partners.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare culture media, laboratory reagents, and sterilization solutions
• Culture, produce, and package tissue-cultured trees for transport and delivery
• Conduct acclimatization, soil establishment, and maintenance of trees in greenhouse conditions
• Prepare microbial formulations and conduct host-microbe interaction studies
• Support molecular and metabolite profiling of plant products
