Distributions Water Operator

Under direct supervision a Distributions Water Operator for the Water Department is responsible for learning to become proficient in the method of drinking water treatment, the operation of groundwater wells, finished water pumps, and other treatment equipment; including the control, and data management systems used in treatment processes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Under Direction gain proficiency to operate various vehicles, equipment, hand and power tools used in the installation, repair, and maintenance of drinking water treatment piping, valves, and pumps. Under Direction assists in maintaining the cleanliness and good working order of Water Department vehicles and treatment equipment.
