Dietitian-Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center-Per Diem

Performs the clinical nutrition activities of the patient care areas to ensure optimal nutritional care and education of patients in accordance with established standards of care, compliance with The Joint Commission, state standards, and other regulatory requirements. Supports medical and nursing staff to optimize nutrition care through evidence-based practices. For this specific role, the ideal candidate must have their CNSC credential.

Principal Accountabilities:
+ Assess the nutrition status of patients on appropriate biochemical, anthropometric, physical and dietary data.
+ Performs nutrition counseling and education to patients and/or family members.
+ Maintains quality assurance and evaluates compliance with corporate policies and procedures and State and Federal guidelines.
+ Develops and participates in educational sessions for staff to increase nutritional knowledge and improve patient care.
