Development Review Engineer

Purpose

The purpose of this classification, under administrative direction, is to apply recognized engineering standards for review of proposed and current development projects within the City. Performs highly responsible administrative work in the enforcement of the Flood Plain Management Program and Land Development Code for the purpose of ensuring compliance with applicable codes, ordinances, and established regulations governing zoning, and related land use provisions. May supervise other staff. Performs related work as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience - Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Construction, Environmental, or Transportation Engineering or related field; supplemented by a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in government or private industry engineering regulation.
