Job Description Overview The department of Deterministic Safety Analysis at AtkinsRéalis/Candu Energy is engaged in deterministic safety analysis in support of new CANDU Nuclear Power Plants as well as supporting the operation and safety of the existing domestic and international CANDU plants. The Safety Analyst will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to develop and apply advanced analytical methodologies to address client and project needs related to nuclear safety and licensing for plant support, refurbishment, and new‑build projects. The role includes performing safety analyses for events including, but not limited to, large and small loss‑of‑coolant accidents (LOCAs), loss of flow, loss of reactivity control, and severe accidents.
