Detention Guard - Hope, B.C.

Commissionaires BC is looking to hire casual on call detention guards to work with us at the RCMP detachment in Hope.

Shift Times: On-Call - Days, Evenings and Overnights

Payrate: $22/hr

Position Summary: Under the direction of the RCMP Member responsible for Cell Block Operations, Detention Guards are primarily responsible for monitoring the safety and well-being of persons in custody as well as performing additional duties as required. You must live within a 60‑minute drive of the detachment.

Duties And Responsibilities:

• Observe and check prisoners frequently and irregularly, including the use of CCTV
• Assist RCMP members in prisoner searches, under direction
• Organize meals, record prisoner activity, and maintain a prisoner activity logbook
