Summary Serves as Deputy Chief of Interpretation and Education at Yosemite NP, assisting in leading interpretation, education, museum, and volunteer programs. Oversees planning, operations, budget, safety, partnerships, and a large staff. Supports public relations and strategic communication for one of the nation's most visited and complex parks. Responsibilities At the full performance level (GS-13) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Personnel Management & Supervision: Experience supervising and mentoring a team of park rangers, guides, interns, and volunteers; includes planning work schedules, assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and ensuring compliance with Equal Opportunity and safety standards.
