Summary This Senior Executive Service position is in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Office of Response & Recovery in Washington, DC. The Recovery Directorate is responsible for providing the core Federal disaster recovery capability needed to save lives, reduce suffering and protect property and communities throughout the Nation that have been overwhelmed by the impact of a disaster, regardless of cause. Responsibilities The Deputy Assistant Administrator, Recovery, assists in the development and implementation of operational policies, procedures, and capabilities for use by FEMA and other Federal Departments and agencies to deliver short-and long-term disaster recovery assistance to states, tribes, territories, local governments, communities and individuals.
