Job Description Job Summary: The deli cook prepares a variety of cold and hot food items while adhering to food safety standards and ensuring customer satisfaction. Duties & Responsibilities: Receive and maintain all food service products while utilizing the FIFO method and dating according to health and safety regulations. Prepare batches of food that are cooked to order or kept warm until sold; this may include food items such as hamburgers, pizza or chicken. Prepare and cook food according to instructions while ensuring the quality and safety of all food prepared. Operate cooking equipment such as griddles, grills, or deep fryers, pizza ovens, convection ovens, etc. This also includes general maintenance and cleaning of the equipment. Prepare, wash, and cut food to be cooked. Provide fast, friendly, and excellent customer service to all customers. Assist customers as needed.
