Job Description Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking a NGIS Warehouse Specialist to support unique US Navy program based on the island of Diego Garcia. Job Summary The Deckhand is responsible for assisting sea vessel operations transporting crew members, passengers and freight. Principal Accountabilities (Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.) Assists in standing lookout watch in traffic areas under all weather and sea conditions
Assists in the daily inspection of the operating condition of all emergency equipment
Attends to passenger needs and performs cleanup and maintenance duties
Provides good customer service to the travelling public
Participates in periodic all hands drills and emergency exercises
Operates safety gates and loading ramps, and maintains security about the decks
