Become a Day Camp Counsellor with YMCA in Mississauga, Halton Hills, or Milton. This role offers part-time training hours in June, leading to full-time work through September.
As a Day Camp Counsellor, you will implement engaging programs for children aged 4 to 12, ensuring a safe and positive experience. The position requires relationship-building, effective group leadership, and participation in various recreational activities. Your enthusiasm and commitment to child welfare will significantly impact campers' growth and enjoyment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure high-quality camp programming and supervision
• Actively participate in all recreational camp activities
• Build relationships with campers and community partners
• Attend and contribute to staff training sessions
• Follow health and safety procedures throughout camp
Requirements:
• Minimum age of 17 by year's end
• Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification
• Experience with children preferred
