Key Responsibilities:
- Compile, manage and maintain geological and mining databases including drilling, assay, geochemical, geophysical, mapping, grade control and production data.
- Oversee the import, validation, integration and export of geological and mining data from various sources into the database systems.
- Ensure the databases are optimized for handling large datasets from various projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues. Ensure data integrity through periodic checks, audits and QA/QC validation procedures.
- Perform data analysis to support geological modelling, resource estimation and mine planning.
- Prepare reports with meaningful insights and trends for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with geologists for field data collection as needed.
