SUMMARY

A Cytotechnologist microscopically analyzes cell samples from all body systems obtained by various techniques and renders a reliable and timely diagnosis for the purpose of the preventing or treating of disease or infectious processes. Demonstrates ability to processes associated with the preparation of cell samples for evaluation. Ensure compliance with QC & QA programs to affect the highest quality patient care: offers technical support to patient care providers and teaches student and new employees.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Professional knowledge of Cytotechnology principles, concepts and methodologies sufficient to interpret and perform a broad range of tests, including non-routine from all body sites

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Biology, Chemistry or related field is required.

  • Must be a registered Cytotechnologist or registry eligible
