Cycle Mechanic

About the Post

We are recruiting a Cycle Mechanic in Barnsley to support our cycling and active travel ambitions. The role is based in the Sport & Physical Activity Team and involves developing and delivering services at the Active Travel Hub and mobile unit.

Responsibilities

• Support development and operational delivery of the active travel hub and mobile unit.
• Provide advice and support to the public.
• Support the cycle and e‑cycle loan scheme.
• Support secure cycle parking operations.
• Deliver bike servicing and maintenance checks.
• Support bike recycling and deployment.
• Assist marketing and communications.
• Collaborate with the Sport & Physical Activity Team to support walk, cycle and active travel offer in schools, workplaces and communities.

Qualifications

• Relevant Level 4 cycle mechanic qualification (e.g. CyTech) or equivalent experience.
