The Customer Quality Engineer serves as the primary technical interface between Sony Semiconductor Solutions and automotive customers, conducting root cause analysis of returned components and delivering timely, compliant responses.

This role ensures quality excellence across the automotive supply chain while maintaining customer trust and regulatory alignment within a fast-paced, forward-thinking environment.

You will:

  • Support the execution of detailed failure analysis of automotive customer returnsidentifying root causes and where necessary support implementing corrective actions within agreed timelines
  • Perform visual inspection under a microscope to identify surface defects and damage
  • Maintain and calibrate analytical equipment to ensure readiness for immediate quality investigations
  • Prepare and handle quality documentation including PPAPs, PCNs, and CPN tracking in compliance with IATF 16949 standards
