Custodian

Summary/Objective Performs daily custodial functions in assigned facilities. Works collaboratively with all University units to provide a pleasing, comfortable, and safe environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Essential Job Duties Cleans and sanitizes bathroom/shower fixtures, partitions and floors Clean windows and door glass in entrance/exit ways Cleans building floors to include sweeping, dusting vacuuming, damp and wet mopping and buffing Discards waste/trash into proper containers and relines trash receptacles Cleans hallways, stairs and vestibules by sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, etc. Cleans/polishes furnishings, ledges, etc. Maintains classrooms including realignment of chairs, clean dry erase boards etc. Reports any hazardous conditions, call in work orders as needed and follow safety policies and procedures Work special events and overtime as needed including summer camp work schedules, Homecoming, spring and fall visitations, athletic events, etc. Communic...
