• -Assists the radiologist in performing high-risk invasive diagnostic techniques such as needle biopsies, aspirations, CT-guided joint injections, and CT-guided needle-wire placement exams for surgery.
• -Additionally, demonstrating competence by contributing input for alternative approaches and adjustment of scan parameters limiting radiation dosage.
• -Evaluates any contra-indications, such as medications, insufficient patient preparation or the patient s inability, or unwillingness to tolerate the procedure, notifying care teams and coordinating appropriate care, prior to the patient s arrival, if possible.
