Cryogenic Telescope Instrumentation Engineer - Commissioning

The Simons Observatory in Antofagasta, Chile, is seeking a Telescope Instrumentation Engineer. This role involves working with a team to commission and maintain the Large Aperture Telescope and Small Aperture Telescopes. Responsibilities include installation of instruments and system checks, providing necessary repairs, and collaborating with fellow engineers on various operational tasks.

Applicants should have a Master's or doctoral degree in relevant engineering fields and considerable experience with cryogenic instruments. Fluency in English is required, and fluency in Spanish is a plus.
