Essential

• Be a qualified lawyer or solicitor
• Do not need a criminal background – any litigation background fine
• Criminal training given – 17 weeks on job

Technical skills

We’ll assess you against these technical skills during the selection process.

• Have a Law Degree or Common Professional Examination/Graduate Diploma in Law.
• Complete a Legal Practice Course, Solicitors Qualifying Exam or Bar Vocational Course/Bar Professional Training Course and the relevant pupillage / training contract.
• Be a qualified Barrister or Solicitor
• Demonstrate motivation
• Demonstrate the appropriate level of legal intellect
