Summary This position is a Criminal Investigator (Special Agent), GS-1811-12/13, working for the R9-Chief-Office of Law Enforcement. As a Criminal Investigator (Special Agent), you will serve as an investigator responsible for planning, directing, and independently conducting complex and highly sensitive investigations regarding laws, rules, regulations, and treaties administered by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS). Responsibilities The Criminal Investigator conducts complex, high-risk investigations to protect wildlife resources and enforce Federal conservation laws. The role involves leading multiagency efforts, using advanced investigative technologies, and addressing sophisticated criminal activity affecting domestic and international wildlife trade.
