Credit Analyst

You will be responsible for assessing and approving credit applications, managing risk within a defined mandate, and contributing to the optimisation of credit processes and portfolio performance. Key Responsibilities: Credit Assessment & Decisioning: Analyse financial information including bank statements, credit reports, and management accounts Make independent credit decisions within a delegated approval limit (up to R250,000 per deal) Identify risks, trends, and mitigating factors across applications Conduct detailed qualitative and quantitative analysis of applicants and counterparties Prepare credit recommendations and approval documentation for escalated deals Ensure all decisions align with internal credit policies and governance frameworks Operational Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure complete and accurate deal submissions Partner with sales and structuring teams to deliver well-considered credit solutions Communicate decisions clearly and profes...
