Mental Health & Substance Use Clinician (Professional Officer L19)

position provides assessment, case management, consultation, and treatment to a wide variety of clients (i.e., adults, children, and families) with mental health and subtance use concerns and illnesses. The Mental Health and Susbtance Use Clinician provides assessment, ongoing and stabilizing treatment, coordination of resources and consultation to clients, their families, and partners of care. The MHSU Clincian operates with a high degree of autonomy and independence and will work as a collaborative member the Summerside Community Mental Health Clinical Services Team

Duties will Include:

• Utilize and apply extensive knowledge of case management principles, psychosocial rehabilitation, cognitive, behavioral, dialectical behavioral therapy, supportive, family and group therapy, discern which approaches are best suited to the situation and clinical impression;
