Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to support core accounting operations and help monitor operational costs for my client in Shreveport. This role will partner with operations and finance teams to evaluate cost structures, maintain product costing, analyze variances, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Responsibilities:
+ Maintain and analyze standard costs, bill of materials, and inventory valuation.
+ Prepare and review monthly cost accounting reports, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
+ Monitor inventory transactions and ensure accurate recording of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
+ Analyze manufacturing and operational cost variances, including labor, material, and overhead costs.
