Cost Accountant in Southwest Region, ON

Accountivity is looking for a Cost Accountant in Southwest Region, ON. This in-office permanent position offers a salary between $60,000 and $75,000 a year.
As a key member of the team, you will utilize your expertise in cost accounting to produce essential reports for plant management. Your role includes analyzing variances, maintaining standard cost models, and supporting departmental initiatives through financial analysis. Strong collaboration across departments is critical to drive cost-reduction strategies and improve current efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and analyze production and cost reports regularly
• Support Daily Direction Setting meetings with timely yield data
• Examine variances of actual vs. standard costs
• Maintain standard cost models for accuracy and performance
• Conduct product cost audits for process alignment
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 3 years of cost accounting experience
