**Description & Requirements**
Bloomberg is looking for a freelance copy editor to join our New York office. This is a contract role — 20 hours a week, across five days — supporting both our web and print editions.
As part of the copy desk, you’ll ensure every story is sharp, accurate and engaging. You’ll edit for grammar, clarity, consistency and style, while maintaining the distinct voice of each product across platforms, including Businessweek, Markets magazine, Weekend and others. You’ll also proofread and fact-check. Besides versatility, collaboration is key: You’ll work closely in a fast-paced, global newsroom with fellow copy editors as well as editors, art directors and web producers to meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.
