Controller

Reporting to the General Manager, the Controller owns the full-cycle accounting function for Flatstone Construction and oversees financial reporting, month-end close, accounts payable and receivable, payroll oversight, and cash flow and working capital forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle accounting, including general ledger integrity, month-end and year-end close, and preparation of financial statements.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Manage cash flow and working capital forecasting; maintain banking and treasury relationships.
• Lead annual budgeting, operational forecasting, and support strategic planning initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with CRA remittances, GST/PST filings, and applicable tax obligations.
• Maintain internal controls and accounting policies; act as primary liaison for external auditors.
