Consultant Physician in Respiratory and General Medicine – University Hospital Monklands

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Consultant Physician in Respiratory and General Medicine for a substantive post at University Hospital Monklands, NHS Lanarkshire.

Role overview: The successful candidate will deliver a comprehensive respiratory service, including elective clinics, procedural work, and complex inpatient management. They will also contribute to the general medical rota with weekend coverage and offer 8 PA full‑time with the possibility of part‑time arrangements.

• Lead the Severe Asthma service with a specialist Asthma clinic and represent the hospital at the Pan‑Lanarkshire Severe Asthma MDT.
• Oversee Respiratory Nurse‑Led clinics and conduct a weekly multidisciplinary team meeting on severe asthma patients receiving biologic therapies.
