Consultant in Orthodontics (LW)

Overview

Part-time substantive Consultant Orthodontist position within the orthopaedics & orthodontics department, working alongside a full-time consultant, specialty trainees, DCTs, orthodontic therapist and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide complex and multidisciplinary orthodontic treatment and orthognathic care from the hospital based orthodontic services to the residents of Fife.
• Manage patients with hypodontia requiring multidisciplinary treatment with paediatric dental and restorative colleagues.
• Participate in joint orthognathic clinics with Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery colleagues, joint restorative dentistry clinics monthly, paediatric dentistry bimonthly and cleft team consultations between Fife, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
• Teach and train Specialty Registration trainees (StRs).
