CONSULTANT HISTOPATHOLOGIST VACANCY – MANCHESTER AREA

An NHS Trust in the Manchester area has assigned our services to help them recruit a Consultant Histopathologist, either on a Substantive or 2 years NHS Fixed Term contract.

Department Details:
Our client is a busy and friendly department that supports many multidisciplinary teams for cancer specialists including breast, upper and lower gastro, lung, urology, gnaecology, head and neck and haematology.

General Histology29068 requests
Diagnostic Cytology 3075 requests
Dermatopathologist 8631 requests
Neuropathology 1231 requests
Coronial post-mortem cases 550 requests
Frozen sections 150 general, 250 neuropathology

Approximately 90% of requests are from the hospital and 10% from General Practitioners. The departments do not perform any cervical cytology.
