Role Overview: Python developer with a strong background in desktop GUI development and external hardware synchronization. Able to build the front-line capture station software that operators use to record training sessions, calibrate sensors, and sync high-frequency data streams.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Desktop Application Development: Build a clean, workflow-driven graphical user interface using PySide6 or PyQt.
+ Hardware Synchronization: Interface with Polhemus Viper electromagnetic motion tracking systems, capturing continuous data streams at 240 Hz alongside concurrent video recording.
+ Timestamping & Packaging: Ensure precise temporal alignment of video, motion data, and manual timestamp events (e.g., spacebar inputs). Package these elements into standardized local file directories.
