Concrete Finisher

Are you a skilled concrete finisher who takes pride in building and maintaining the infrastructure that keeps a city moving? We’re looking for Concrete Finishers to join the City of Victoria's Engineering & Public Works team.

In this hands‑on role, you will help construct and repair sidewalks, curbs, gutters, driveways, and other municipal infrastructure. From reading grades and setting forms to placing and finishing concrete, you will play a direct role in delivering the public works projects that residents rely on every day.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sites for concrete work, including sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and driveways; read and interpret engineering plans and grade sheets to determine the location of underground services and utilities; set up traffic control; act as padman to direct the operation of construction and excavation equipment.
