Job Summary

This position uses specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross sectional images of the human anatomy which aid radiologists in diagnosing a wide variety of diseases and disorders. Follows established protocols as well as being able to make adjustments to set parameters on the operating console to compensate for different patient conditions all while keeping radiation exposure to the patient at a minimum and still producing high quality diagnostic images. Documents important patient history as related to the procedure. Accurately prepares the exam room and tray set up for invasive procedures. Proficient at starting IV’s to inject contrast media via an automatic injector. Communicates well with other staff, creating an atmosphere of teamwork, as well as physician offices to ensure accuracy in order information contributing to the efficient operation of the department.
