Commodity Manager

Duties & Responsibilities

• Participate as a materials team member in new process and product development.
• Support supply base / commodity strategies consistent with business initiatives and SRM ideology (Supplier Relationship Management).
• Engage and support site procurement teams to identify part supply constraints that may impact production schedule and create mitigation plans.
• Complete supplier and cost/benefit analysis to support selecting the best supplier and optimum supply chain.
• Create cost models for key commodity areas of responsibility. Support senior strategic commodity management team to negotiate price and contract agreements and ensure key contractual reductions are realized.
• Implement and support tailored development plans for strategic suppliers and potential suppliers.
• Continually optimize supply chain in respect to price, inventory, continuity of supply (COS), terms and conditions.
