Clubs and Societies Committee (CSC) (Oshawa)

Summary

The Clubs & Societies Committee (CSC) is a standing committee of the Board of Directors of the Ontario Tech Student Union (OTSU). It collaborates with OTSU’s VP Student Life to review, develop, and oversee policies and activities related to clubs and societies.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Verify club and society ratifications.
• Amend club and society policies and procedures.
• Conduct business related to club and society sanctions.
• Define club and society roles and responsibilities.
• Ensure club and society compliance with applicable policies and procedures.

Members will attend one synchronous meeting per month and commit to a total of 5 hours per month, including participation in discussions, scheduled meetings, and ad‑hoc meetings.

The CSC offers students-at-large the opportunity to work directly with OTSU, build networks, and gain a deeper understanding of the union’s operations.
